West Quoddy Head Lighthouse – 14×11, acryic on panel.
I did the above painting of West Quoddy Lighthouse from a historical photograph. While I hadn’t visited the lighthouse at the time, I always wanted to paint the iconic candy striped lighthouse on the eastern most point of the United States.
In September of 2024 I visited the lighthouse in person on a very dark and misty day but wanted to return to get a better view from the water. A few weeks later I chartered a boat out of Eastport, ME to get reference photos of the lighthouses in the area. The painting, “Sail Rock” on this site is from that trip.
The above painting is 11×14 acrylic on panel.
The original artwork and prints are available through my online gallery, FineArtNewEngland.com
